SCAN

Upon receiving a scan instruction from the user's web interface, VIA Agent analyzes and extracts all the scan configurations before passing the target's IP address or domain name its SCAN engine. Then, VIA Agent attempts to identify the scan target and puts it to test against a database containing over 20,000 vulnerability checks. VIA Agent is capable of audit:

• Firewalls, IDS, routers, and switches
• Servers, desktops, portable devices
• VPN networks and hosts
• Wireless networks and hosts
• Almost any network device
• Almost any TCP or UDP service

ALERT

VIA Agent compiles vulnerabilities that were positively identified and discovered into a list and pass the list to its report engine. Once the report is done and scan results are properly formatted, VIA Agent immediately goes to the ALERT phase and inform the user via email that the report is ready for view. Report can be downloaded or viewed in many different formats, from Executive Summary report to Full Report filled with technical details and vulnerability remediation information. VIA Agent scanning and report engine meet, or exceed, all vulnerability assessment and scanning requirements for most industry standards and regulations, including: PCI, HIPAA, SOX, CVE, ISO-9000 and many more.

SECURE

In the last phase of the S.A.S approach, VIA Agent helps the user SECURE his/her target server or network by providing detailed patch information and intructions on how to remediate the discovered vulnerabilities. VIA Agent will then go back to the 1st phase -- SCAN -- and await for new instruction or the next scheduled scan request.
